Our Building Wins Two Awards at the The GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards 2023

We’re delighted to share some exciting news: our research institute building, proudly part of the Cégep de Saint-Jérôme campus, has been awarded two prestigious prizes at the recent Grands Prix du Design– the Platinum Award and the People’s Choice Award in the Public Building category!

Our building was chosen from a selection of highly competitive projects, highlighting the outstanding quality of its design, designed by the BGLA + Atelier IDEA Consortium.
But these awards go beyond simple recognition. They reflect the deep impact of our building both environmentally and in terms of its integration into our ecosystem, and they illustrate our commitment to sustainability.

In fact, our building conception stands out for its use of exposed solid wood and its concern to maximize energy efficiency, thanks to the adoption of solar and geothermal energy sources.

This achievement strengthens IVI’s position as a leading research center, and underlines our commitment to innovation in all aspects of our mission.

These awards also consolidate our impact in our regional ecosystem and support the major efforts made by the region, the city of Saint-Jérôme and the MRC de la Rivière-du-Nord, and the Cégep de Saint-Jérôme, among others, which are resolutely focused on responsible and sustainable innovation.

Our team is proud to share this success with our community, and we look forward to constantly pushing back the boundaries of excellence in applied research and innovation in our field.
